Seeking Women’s Stories

of Leaving Christianity

You are invited to participate in doctoral research exploring women’s stories of Christian disaffiliation.

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are at least 18 years old.

  • Live in Southern California.

  • Previously identified with a Christian institution.

  • Were active in Christian spaces for at least 5 years.

  • No longer identify as affiliated with any Christian institution.

Participation includes:

  • One 60–90 minute online interview.

  • One in-person group story circle (2–3 hours).

  • One optional 90-minute online discussion of preliminary findings.

Important details:

  • You may decline to answer any question or withdraw at any time without penalty. 

  • This study is being conducted by Jason Coker, a Ph.D. student at Fuller Theological Seminary.

  • This study does not involve proselytizing of any kind.
